The spokesman told APP that the farmers must destroy these weeds within 40 to 45 days after the crop grows. However, the yield is reduced by 20 to 45% due to weeds, these weeds include Della, Swangi grass, Kurand, Cholai, Batho, Kalfa cher, Khabal grass, Madhana grass, Labli and wild spinach etc.

The spokesman told APP that till 40 to 45 days after the cultivation of the crop, weeding can be done to destroy these weeds and chemical methods can also be adopted.

He said that if the maize has been cultivated in smooth sports, then the weeds can be destroyed by harrowing, for chemical weeding in consultation with agronomists or local staff of the Department of Agriculture. Poisons should be selected and used according to these recommended poisons.
