Deputy Director Food Umar Sarwar said during the meeting on Saturday that he will make a surprise visit to various purchase centers and get information about wheat purchase from the farmers present on the spot.

He said that it has been made clear to the relevant authorities of the Finance Department and the Food Department that no carelessness and regularity will be tolerated during the procurement of wheat on their behalf.



He said that the government will be in full contact with the farmers during the wheat procurement campaign at all levels. He said that the amount of wheat that has been set by the government and the Howrak department will be fulfilled in all circumstances and all the processes should be kept transparent and all kinds of facilities should be given to the actual farmers, while contact with the farmers on phone will also be ensured. be made He said that each farmer will pay a tax of Rs. 18 for 100 kg per sack, while for 50 kg PP bag, unloading tax will be Rs. 9 and delivery tax will be Rs. 60 per sack. He said that PP bag Rs 96 and jute bag Rs 428 have been fixed for security bar. He said that the officials of the food department have been strictly instructed to display information banners at prominent places about procurement of grain, sale of return wheat, payment of amounts and parking, shaded area at shopping centers. Apart from arranging chairs and drinking water, keep a record of the number of labour.

The commissioner said that he would make a surprise visit to the procurement centers across the division during the wheat procurement and if there was a shortage of arrangements at any centre, the officers of the food department would be alert. He directed to ensure the presence of fire extinguishers at the shopping centers and also to pay the labor wages.
